Originally scored for orchestra, Hatzis' percussion concerto Tongues of Fire
has been arranged for wind ensemble by Kevin Lau (a WASBE commission) and is now
arranged again for brass band by Kevin (a Hannaford commission.)
The original version was commissioned by the Scotia Festival of Music
with funding from the Canada Council for the Arts
for percussionists Beverley Johnston and
Evelyn Glennie.
