PARKING

Our advice is that you avoid driving in the university area and downtown if at all possible as parking is both expensive and difficult to find, especially on Friday. Here are a few possibilities.

  1. There is a parking lot on the west side of Huron Street just north of Bloor. It is pretty inexpensive for the day, but you must get there early to get a spot.
  2. There is underground parking on Walmer Road, just north of Bloor. This is quite inexpensive parking; availability unknown.
  3. There is parking under Graduate House, on Glen Morris, just east of Spadina. Price and availability not known.
  4. There is underground parking on St. George, just across the street from the conference venue. This is pretty expensive parking; availability not known.
  5. There is underground parking below the Quality Hotel Midtown (280 Bloor Street West) for around $15 for the day.

On the weekend, parking is available in some of the University of Toronto lots. There is one on St. George across from the conference venue and slightly south; there is one at Huron and Glen Morris. You can enter this one from either Glen Morris or Harbord. There is also parking on King's College Circle; enter from College Street or from the south end of Queen's Park Crescent at the southwest end. Much of the university parking is available for $5 a day on Saturday and Sunday.

You risk a ticket if you park on the street. There is metered parking on St. George Street. While there is parking on side streets, it is generally just for an hour, and there are frequent checks on the streets around the University of Toronto.
