Listserv and Other Mailing Lists on Japan and Japanese

These are automatic mailing lists. When you join them, mail is automatically sent to you and your mail will be sent to everyone on the list. In order to join, you should send an e-mail note to each list. Leave the subject blank, and in the body of the message, write:
  • subscribe LIST NAME Your first name Your last name
    For example, if you would like to join JTIT-L, and your name is John Smith, write:
  • subscribe JTIT-L John Smith
    and send the message.

    GAKUSEI-L Series: these are for students of Japanese who would like to exchange ideas, ask questions about Japan and its language and culture. They are administered by Laura Kimoto of the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
    Gakusei-L (for beginners, romanized)
    GakuseiK-L (for beginners, Kanji-Kana)
    Gakusei2-L (for intermediate level, romanized)
    Gakusei2K-L (for intermediate level, Kanji-Kana)
    Gakusei3-L (for advanced level, romanized)
    Bunpou-L (for beginners)

    For Instructors of Japanese

    Sensei-L (for instructors of Japanese who are using the above Gakusei-L series in their class)
    JTIT-L (Japanese Teachers and Instructional Technology)
