Bars Sequence Dance progression
|:1-8:| 1 (a) All circle CW, 8 walking steps (1-8), and CCW, 8 walking steps (1-8).
9-12 (b) All turn to face partner, and dance 4 small hopsabalancé steps, beginning towards the centre of the circle (ie ML/WR).
13-16   All clap, and turn, M to L and W to R [ie into set] to face corner with 2 hopsa steps (13-14). All take waltz hold with corner, and turn once round CW with 2 hopsa steps (15-16).
9-16   Repeat (b) to return to partner, M now turning R and W turning L [ie into the set].
|:17-24:| (c) R-hand chain to 9th dancer, 16 step-hops.
    Parts (1 b) and (1 c) are the same in all sequences.
|:1-8:| 2 (a) New couples take R-hand hold and circle CW on the spot, 16 walking steps (1-8), followed by L-hand hold and circle CCW, 16 walking steps (1-8).
|:1-8:| 3 (a) New couples take two-hand hold and circle CW on the spot, 16 walking steps (1-8), then circle CCW, 16 walking steps (1-8).
|:1-8:| 4 (a) Gåsegang: all form single circle [ie open circle] facing CW and 'chase' CW while clapping own hands, 16 walking steps (1-8), turn and 'chase' CCW clapping own hands, 16 walking steps (1-8).
