At the beginning of the dance, couples stand holding inside hands, and all start with running steps at the same time. The centre couple always makes the arch.
1-4   Couple 2 makes an arch, and couple 1 runs under it; then couple 1 makes an arch and couple 3 runs under it.
M1 and M2 switch places with own partner by turning CW under own R arm
5-8   and run back to place in the same manner.
1-8   Repeat the above, altogether 48 running steps, and all stop at original places, once couples 1 and 3 return for the second time.
|:9-16:|   Couples do tyrolerwaltz in the large circle, after each other, although the original sets of three couples stay together in order to be ready when the music starts again.
    Dance repeats as desired.
