    Dance progression
1-4 (a) Laukka: Couples 1 and 5 take 'butterfly' hold (facing partner, 2-hand hold, arms stretched out at shoulder height), and dance 8 sidesteps through the centre of the rows, passing on the R.
1-4 Couples 1 and 5 repeat to return to original place.
:1-4: Couples 1 and 5 repeat (a). Finish facing each other down the row of couples.
5-8 (b) Saatto: Couple 5, holding inside hands (MR/WL) dance 8 walking steps to couple 1, curtsey/bow.
5-8 Couple 5 turns (M and W towards each other), and holding inside hands (ML/WR) return to last place with couple 1 following behind them, 8 walking steps. Meanwhile, all side couples move up towards top of set. M5 and W5 step back into couple 4's places, and couple 1 passes through and backs into couple 5's places.
  Couple 1 now stands where couple 5 began.
Couple 5 now stands where couple 4 began.
etc.
4x1-4,:5-8:   Couples 2 and 1 repeat (a) and (b)
    Repeat until all couples have danced (a) and (b).
