Type: couple dance or mixer
Formation: couples in open circle. W standing in front of and to right of her partner, WL in ML hand, and WR in MR hand, at shoulder height. Both M and W face LOD, ie allemande hold.
Music: midi file or mp3 file or any moderately fast march with :1-8::9-16: structure.
|1-2||(a)||Couples walk 4 brisk walking steps in LOD, both starting with L foot.|
|3||W moves a little to R, both L heel on floor forward and to the left (3), flirting overr WL shoulder. Close L to R. W takes a step to the L, M to the R (&).|
|4||R heel on floor forward and to the right (4), flirting over WR shoulder. Close R to L (&).|
|5-6||(b)||Couples drop hand hold, clap hands (5) on first beat while dancing 4 walking steps away from each other, M to his L into centre of circle, W to her R out of circle, while turning 1/2-turn CCW and CW respectively.|
|7-8||Both with a clap on the first beat (7), M continues to turn one-half turn CCW, W 3/4-turn CW, and dance 4 walking steps to next M/W (M moving in RLOD; W in LOD).
Note: if done as a couple dance, rather than a mixer), simply return to partner.
|5-8||Holding WR in MR with new partner, W turns under MR arm for 8 bars, while M walks forward with small steps beside her.|
|Repeat from (a) as desired.|
