The University of Toronto's St. George campus is located close to the downtown area of Toronto.

By Air

· Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is located north-west of Toronto, about 40-50 minutes by taxi to the conference site.

· Billy Bishop Toronto City Centre Airport (YTZ) is a small airport located on the Toronto Islands, close to the downtown core, about 15 minutes from the conference by taxi. It only serves a few airlines and cities in Canada and the US, but it’s extremely convenient for those who can access it.

Airport Connections to YYZ

• By Subway: The 192 Airport Rocket (bus) connects the airport to Kipling station on the Bloor subway line. The bus runs every half an hour or so, less often off-peak, and you need exact change to pay ($3.00). It stops at all the terminals, but you may need to go up or down a floor from arrivals. The Kipling station is 16 subway stops to Bay station (the bus and subway are included in one fare). Travel between the airport and Bay takes just over one hour. • By Shuttle Bus: Airport Express provides a shuttle service to and from several downtown hotels (including the Delta Chelsea and the Metropolitan Hotel) to the airport for $26.95 (a return ticket is $44.95) . You can buy your tickets on-line or directly from the bus driver.
• By Taxi: The flat-rate fare to/from downtown will be $53 or $54 plus tip. There are two kinds of taxis: limos and taxis. The limo drivers wear a hat and cost about $8 more. The trip takes 40-50 minutes on weekdays, less on the weekend. The standard tip is 15%. Trips to the airport may be arranged in advance by calling an airport taxi company. Alternatively, you may take a regular city taxi to the airport. If you do so, you have the option of negotiating a flat rate with the driver before you set off. If you negotiate a flat rate, the driver is required to put the meter on and charge you the lesser of the flat rate you negotiated and the charge on the meter. Most taxis and limos accept credit cards.

By Car

If you are coming into Toronto on Highway 401, take the exit onto the Don Valley Parkway (404 South), travel south on DVP until Bloor/Bayview. Take this exit, and keep left, looking for the sign that says Bloor St. Travel west on Bloor until you reach St. George St. Turn left (south) onto Bay St and continue south on Bay St to Charles St. and then go right (west). Unfortunately, there is no parking available at Victoria College. There is limited parking available at St. Michael’s College just off St. Joseph St (two blocks south of Charles St.). There is also parking elsewhere on campus during the week. If you can find it, it costs about $14 per day. On the weekend, parking is available in King's College Circle (and many other sites) for about $6-$7 per day. Purchase a voucher from the Parking Pay & Display machines. Credit cards are accepted. If you are driving to Toronto on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), follow the QEW all the way to Toronto. The QEW becomes the Gardiner Expressway as you approach Toronto. Exit off the Gardiner Expressway at Spadina Ave. Travel north on Spadina to College Street. Make a right and travel east along College Street until you reach St. George Street. Make a left on St. George Street and travel north into the UofT campus. There is very limited parking on campus, however.

By Subway/Public Transit

The closest subway stations are Bay station (on the Bloor-Danforth line) or Museum station (on the University-Spadina line). See the TTC maps for further information.
