The Second Annual Nineteenth-Century Cross-disciplinary Conference
Beauty in the Nineteenth Century





The conference will take place on September 19th and 20th 1997 at University College (15 King's College Circle) in the University of Toronto. It will explore the various conceptions and embodiments of BEAUTY in the nineteenth century. Scholarly papers on the topics of European and North American literature, history, art, and culture. Scholars, experts, and amateurs are invited to attend.

The keynote address will be given by W. David Shaw.
Mark Cheetham will be a featured speaker.
