Where is TULCON 9?
The University of Toronto has three campuses in the GTA, one to the west in Mississauga, one to the east in Scarborough, and one downtown, called the St. George campus. The downtown campus is the oldest and largest, and stretches from Bloor Street in the north to College Street in the south, and from Spadina Avenue in the west to roughly Bay Street in the east.
TULCON 9 is being held in Room 560A of Sidney Smith Hall (100 St. George Street) on Saturday and Sunday, which is located on the west side of St. George Street south of Harbord Street. It is located a short walk south from the St. George entrance of the St. George subway station.
Registration and meet-and-greet will take place on Friday evening, location TBD.
Getting to and from the Airport
Airport service is provided by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) via bus and subway. There are two different routes possible during regular daytime service (5:30am - 1:30am):
The 192 Express bus runs between Pearson International Airport and Kipling subway station, at the western terminus of the east-west Bloor-Danforth subway line. From Kipling Station, take the subway east to St. George station, and exit from the St. George St. exit (not the Bedford Rd. exit). Total travel time is 45-60 minutes.
The 58A Malton bus stops at Terminals 1-3, and then has service to Lawrence West Station on the University-Spadina subway line. From Lawrence West, take the subway south to St. George station and exit at St. George Street and Bloor Street. The total travel time is about 70-80 minutes. Both buses tend to arrive within 10-15 minutes.
Full details and schedules for routes to and from the airport may be found at the TTC's website.
