THE GOALS:
The goal of the Advanced Ukrainian course is to help students to polish their knowledge of the Ukrainian language at this (Advanced) level of proficiency (ACTFL scale) by further mastering their sociolinguistic competence, language accuracy, and all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing).
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
By the end of this course students will be able to speak on the variety of topics, including autobiographical details, daily routine at home, school, or at the workplace, current events, and the like. They will be able to participate fully in casual conversations on the variety of topics, discuss details and give instructions, describe places, people, and things, report on the events, write business correspondence and write creatively, read and understand Ukrainian media as well as speak about activities in past, present, and future.
Attention to enrolling students:
Students enrolled in this course are expected to perform (to speak, read and write) in Ukrainian at the Intermediate High or Advanced levels of proficiency (ACTFL rating scale).
